About the Symbol & the Photos

The photo next to the masthead changes every time you come to the site, and they’re chosen from various events Betty & Helen have been to over the years.
The beautiful black and white photo of Helen & Betty was taken by Mariette Pathy Allen during Fantasia Fair ’04. They were both honored and pleased to pose for Mariette – who is, after all, the official photographer of the transgender community.
