Just a reminder: Tristan Taormino is specifically looking for CDs & their partners who are in non-monogamous relationships. You can read her description of the book she’d be interviewing you for and more about what she’s looking for below the break.
from Tristan:
Hi Everyone,
I am currently working on my new book, OPENING UP: CREATING AND SUSTAINING OPEN RELATIONSHIPS. It is a how-to book for people interested in relationship possibilities beyond monogamy. Throughout the book, I include examples of real-life people in non-monogamous, polyamorous, swinger and open relationships.
It’s very important for me to represent as many different genders and perspectives and so I am looking for crossdressers and their partners who are in open relationships to feature in my book. I define ‘open relationship’ very broadly, so if yours falls anywhere outside monogamy, please contact me. One specific dynamic – but not the only one – I am interested in is a relationship where a crossdresser and partner are monogamous, the partner supports but does not want to participate in the crossdressing, so the CD partner can have erotic experiences with others that involve dressing.
If any of this describes you and you’re interested, please email me at tristan.taormino (at) verizon.net. It will involve an email interview and a follow up interview on the phone or in person. You do not need to use your real name and I will make every effort to respect your privacy.
In addition, if you know anyone else (of any gender or partner status) who may be interested in participating in the interviews for the book, please feel free to forward this info to them; however, please do not post this on any other website or message boards. I’m pretty well covered when it comes to white, kinky, urban people. I am especially looking for the following folks:
-people of color
-people living in a committed triad or quad
-disabled people
-people in a relationship where one partner is monogamous and the other partner is non-monogamous or polyamorous
-people who live in rural areas
-people who live in the South
More about the book:
The book will dispel some of the myths about non-monogamy and polyamory and outline several different styles of open relationships. It will help readers decide if non-monogamy and polyamory is right for them, how to develop healthy, positive open relationships, and how to transform a monogamous relationship into a non-monogamous one. For those already exploring various forms of non-monogamy, it will offer practical, creative strategies for making an open relationship work, including tips on communication, negotiation, jealousy, boundary setting, and conflict resolution. Plus, Opening Up will delve into issues that are specific to these non-traditional relationships, including sexuality, community, raising children, and legal considerations.
Thanks in advance for your help.
