I’m fiddling with the re-design, so forgive me if for the next several days you can’t quite find everything you’re used to. Eventually I’ll get it all in place, but wow – a website that’s been tweaked for a few years has a ton of tiny stuff in the code.

For the record, I have nothing to do with this redesign other than a comment and suggestion here and there.
This is Helen. She rocks.
😀
Please make the typeface larger.
If you’re using Firefox, press Ctrl + to make the type bigger. I think that works for IE, too.
I love the new layout in general – I think it lets the reader see more entries in a screen in a way that’s pretty easy on the eyes and not cluttered. A few comments, however:
1) It would help to have a little more space between the title of an entry and the byline. The title overlaps the byline a little bit.
2) I don’t know if I like the font for the titles of entries – I’m not sure if the inter-letter spacing is off or what, but something seems off about it
3) I also don’t like the font for the byline – the letters seem to overlap (especially when you go bold for the name of the poster).
4) I wish the font for the line “helen boyd’s journal of gender & trans issues” was larger, or if the line was under the “en|Gender” title – right now it seems almost like it’s hiding.
The “weightier” font & color scheme makes the blog seem heavier. I like it.
Yes – one thing I really think makes this new look is the color scheme – I was remiss in not mentioning this earlier.
I upped the overall pixel size a tiny bit. Things are a bit bigger now.
This is a test.
And another one.
tina – ha!
