She transitioned in 1958 at the age of 21 and went on to be a Playboy bunny and appear in 8 movies, did numerous TV appearances, and was otherwise a glamorous, beautiful woman.

Irony of ironies, I worked with A’leisha on a forgettable film called Hard Country when I was deep in my drug addict/alcoholic relationship wrecker days. I had no consciousness about her being trans, just as later I had no idea about PJ Torokvei.
She was a pioneer in the days where getting outed meant you didn’t work. RIP
